For sale or trade: Mid 70s Epiphone Crestwood guitar.
During the early 1970's, Gibson moved Epiphone production from the
famed Kalamazoo plant to Matsumoku Aria plant in Japan. This
Crestwood was near the top of the line in the Epiphone
catalog. The body is maple. The bolt on Maple neck is
straight and features rosewood fingerboard with mother
of pearl dot inlays . The pickups are DiMarzio Air Classic 190
humbuckers. The original tuners have been replaced with Grover
Rotomatics. The guitar has recently been setup by JK's Guitar
Garage in Hamburg, Mi. Action is low and fast. The pick
guard has been trimmed slightly by a previous owner in order to get
non original pickups into the guitar. (Now replaced with the
DiMarzios) The guitar has been refinished in a Teal color and
has some scratches, nicks and dings. There is a
paint chip on the headstock as well as hardware
corrosion as you would expect from a 30+ year old guitar. There is
no trem bar or “ash tray” .
Sell for $400.00 or trade for old Ampeg or Gibson amps, working or
not.
